And yes, I did try to answer the question. First, you have to establish if they are physically carrying the boards or if they are "holding" them as if for ransom. The former is limited by board size, number of Mongols, whether they are allowed to use their horses to carry boards, and how much weight they can lift. The latter is constrained by available supply of boards, space for the boards (the total land mass of ancient Mongolia), number of Mongols spending time processing/guarding the collection of boards, and the amount of time before people get fed up with the hoarding.
That would take more calculations and time than I wish to bother with. We'd also have to establish what date in time to reference head count (presumably at the peak of the Mongolian Empire) to max out viable lifters. Is there anything else I forgot to address? Do any of you have questions you'd like to share (about anything at all)?
